Welcome to my collection! Take a look around, and sorry if you are overwhelmed. (I was too, at first.)
Currently, I only collect JUST Toothless/Night Fury action figures. While the other dragons are equally impressive and neat, I prefer just the one right now. There are a variety of items from different manufacturers and other branches of HTTYD such as Defenders of Berk, the movies and shorts, the live play, ect. I've tried to give a little blurb for each about where it came from and where I purchased it to help other fellow collectors find them. I'm also a poor photographer, so a lot of stock photos will be used here when available. Want to earn some extra cash? If you have something I don't - use the contact me form on the About page! I'll be happy to buy it from you and add it to my collection! |
Mega Toothless - Alpha Edition
Series: How to Train Your Dragon 2
Purchased : Walmart Manufacturer: Spin Master (2014) Officially the largest Toothless released (not in wingspan, as his are tucked), and certainly the most accurate Toothless to date. I love the long arching cat-like body. I really think to make him longer they said ' lets slap on another 6 inches! ' and made the tail ridiculously wrong, but perhaps it is ratio correct. |
Fire Breathing Night Fury
Giant Fire Breathing Toothless
Series : Defenders of Berk
Purchased : Amazon Manufacturer : Spin Master (2013) Another 'large' scale Toothless. This one 'breathes fire' from a water bottle within his body that emits steam back-lit by the blue in his mouth. Pretty clever I'd say. I have two, one still in its original box, and one gently played with one for display. |
Giant Fire Breathing Toothless
Series : How to Train Your Dragon 2
Purchased : eBay UK Manufacturer : Spin Master (2014) So this is pretty blatantly a repackaging of the 2013 version that Spin Master released. I haven't found this in the states yet. This one I purchased from the United Kingdom. Fancy new box. The only notable difference is in the tail and that they painted the red part with a correct sign instead of the crossed bones and skull. |
Toothless Power Dragon (Power Glow)
Series: DreamWorks Power Dragons - HTTYD2
Purchased : Amazon Manufacturer : Spin Master (2014) I like these smaller action figures they released for How to Train Your Dragon 2. This one has the 'power glow' function where he glows blue before hes about to shoot... a black wad at the Bewilderbeast? It could have at least been blue. None the less, another must have for the collection. |
Defenders of Berk - Missile Shooting Toothless Night Fury
Missile Shooting Toothless Night Fury
Toothless Power Dragon (Extreme Wing Flag)
Defenders of Berk - Toothless Night Fury (Spinning Tail Action)
Toothless Power Dragon (Spinning Tail Racing Edition)
Defenders of Berk Power Dragon (Catapult Tail)
Series: DreamWorks Power Dragons - Defenders of Berk
Purchased : Toys R Us Manufacturer : Spin Master (2014) The original solid black Toothless with harness from the Defenders of Berk series. I absolutely love this one because of the fact that the tail catapults a poor sheep. Who wouldn't find that entertaining? |
Power Dragon - Catapult Tail Toothless (Racing Edition)
Series: DreamWorks Power Dragons - HTTYD2
Purchased : Amazon Manufacturer : Spin Master (2014) And shortly after the release of the movie, they came out with a Racing Edition of this catapult tail Toothless that is not tied to Defenders of Berk but instead to HTTYD 2 (see previous Toothless above). This is what I call recycle and re-purpose. They took the same model, and slapped stripes on it. I love how people are calling it a variation. It's not. |
Catapult Tail Toothless with Yellow Ball
Power Dragon - Toothless (Ice Fling)
Series: DreamWorks Power Dragons - HTTYD2
Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : Spin Master (2014) Took me a while to track this one down! This one appeared on Spin Master's product site one day. After unsuccessful attempts to find it anywhere on the web or in stores, I sent Spin Master a e-mail. They were polite enough to respond that it was a brand new product that would start appearing in stores soon so it may be a little difficult to find. A few days later, one appeared on eBay in California so I snatched it up as fast as I could click the BIN button. Still haven't seen it in stores yet as of late November 2014. ( No, he was not released with Hiccup. The seller included him in the purchase) |
SpinMaster How to Train Your Dragon Deluxe Action Figures
Series: How to Train Your Dragon (3 of 3 Collected)
Purchased : eBay, Amazon Manufacturer : Spin Master (2010) Released in 2010 for the original How to Train Your Dragon movie, these little buggers were HARD to track down still in the box or not missing wing(s) if loose. Not to mention, I found out that they did three different series! Through a combination of eBay and Amazon I was able to track all three down. In the series was a Rip Attack, Flaps Wings, and Shoots version. |
SpinMaster How to Train Your Dragon Deluxe 7" Action Figures
Series: How to Train Your Dragon (3 of 3 Collected)
Purchased : eBay, Amazon Manufacturer : Spin Master (2010) Released in 2010 for the original How to Train Your Dragon movie. Another thorn in my side. It was hard to track down the early Series 1 and 2 of these cute little Night Fury's on bases. I think they are basically bobble heads without the bobbly heads. I haven't opened them to confirm. Love them though! |
DreamWorks Battle Mini Figure - Toothless (Wings Out)
DreamWorks Battle Mini Figure - Toothless (Wings Closed)
DreamWorks Battle Mini Figure - Toothless (Racing Stripes)
Night Fury
Series: How to Train Your Dragon Arena Spectacular
Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : IVS Group (2012) A figure produced and sold for the Live Arena Spectacular How to Train Your Dragon show. His legs are pose able so he can be flying or standing. Sadly, his wings don't move. He's made of pretty sturdy plastic. |
Cake Topper
Series: How to Train Your Dragon 2 Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : DecoPac (2012) Something I only new existed thanks to the Night Fury's Hoard website. I had not seen one come up on eBay for several months when one morning, there it was! Now I can add it to my collection. Obviously this won't be gracing the tops of any cakes. |
DreamWorks - Power Dragon Attack Set
Series: How to Train Your Dragon 2 Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : Spin Master (2014) A new release this year. I picked this entire set up JUST for the Toothless. Why? It's a new recolor with the alpha blue on his spine and extra spine 'points'. Had to have it. The rest of the set will probably just sit in the box in the closet. Sorry Cloudjumper! |
Dragons, Toothless Night Fury
Mini Dragons Toothless Night Fury (Sitting)
Mini Dragons Toothless Night Fury (Crouching)
Mini Dragons Toothless Night Fury (Crouching)
Mini Dragons Toothless Night Fury (Crouching)
Series: Unknown Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : China I'm pretty sure this is just a neat packaging redo from the HTTYD to HTTYD2 and confirmed its just a China 'bootleg'. Notice the lack of "DreamWorks Dragons" on the box itself. The figure looks exactly the same. The box (or should I say envelope -.- ) came from China smashed and they aren't sending a replacement. |
Mini Dragons Toothless Night Fury (Attacking)
San Diego Comic Con 2013 - First Edition Toothless
San Diego Comic Con 2014 - Final Battle Toothless
Series: DreamWorks Dragons - HTTYD2
Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : Spin Master (2014) Sold exclusively at the San Diego Comic Con event in 2014, this Toothless is in his final battle mode about to kick some big giant dragon butt. Complete with the alpha blue! Mine is signed by Chris Sanders, an animator of the HTTYD movies. |
Battle Pack - Toothless vs Dragon Catcher
Battle Pack - Toothless
Night Fury Plastic Toy
Hiccup and Toothless Keepsake Ornament
Toothless the Dragon Christmas Ornament
McDonald's Happy Meal Toy - Toothless
Series: How to Train Your Dragon
Purchased : McDonalds Manufacturer : McDonalds (2010) Got two of these for $1 in a eBay auction with absolutely no scratches or dings. Cute little buggers. The auction made me laugh, as the seller stated "This is variation with teeth. I don't know why it has teeth since its Toothless from the new movie." I guess the seller has never seen the movie! |
McDonald's Happy Meal Toy - Toothless & Hiccup
UK McDonald's Happy Meal Toy - Toothless & Hiccup
Carl's Jr Cool Kids Combo Toy - Toothless Figure
Series: How to Train Your Dragon 2
Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : Carl's Jr (2014) I've only ever seen one of these on eBay so far...which I find odd. Since there is not a Carl's Jr anywhere near me, and no guarantee I'd get the toy (and I'd be too embarrassed to ask as an adult), I quickly snatched this up. He's a neat sitting chrome looking Toothless! |
Funko Mystery Minis - Toothlesses & Hiccups
Series: How to Train Your Dragon 2
Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : Funko (2014) I hated these when I first saw them. To me they are another stupid trendy thing that will eventually fade away and I didn't like the 'chibi' style that it had. I also wasn't willing to pay $10 a figure for 2 inches of ugly. Good thing eBay had someone selling them as an entire lot for dirt cheap! |
Chupa Chups (Kinder Eggs) - Toothlesses
Series: How to Train Your Dragon
Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : Chupa Chups (2014) So cute! And SO VERY TINY! These little treasures are hidden inside a chocolate egg...BONUS! Kinder Eggs are banned in the united states because they are filled with small toys (assuming we'd let children choke on them or something...) and can only be found by buying them over seas. They are trying a workaround but no luck yet to my knowledge. These cute little minis are barely larger then a quarter, and come assembly required with a few pieces inside a little tube. They are very detailed for something so small and I am beyond thrilled to have these 3 in my collection! |
Toothless Wooden Building Set
Series: How to Train Your Dragon 2 Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : Lowe's, Build & Grow Kids Workshop (2014) Available at Lowe's for one of their Build & Grow kids workshops they do monthly. Was a unique little thing so of course I had to get it for the collection! Came complete with a little Toothless iron on patch. |
Hiccup & Toothless Racing Stripes
Series: How to Train Your Dragon 2
Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : Mexico (2014) A very unique bootleg from Mexico! It's Hiccup in his flight suit outfit and Toothless complete with his racing stripes. Not sure about how I feel about how Hiccup 'plugs' in... but... maybe it's just the photo making me giggle. These are made in Mexico and available there only. |
Toothless
Night Fury Pencil Topper
Series: How to Train Your Dragon
Purchased : eBay Manufacturer : CKE Restaurants - Carl's Jr (August/September 2010) A cute Night Fury pencil topper from Carl's Jr's Cool Kids happy meals. I can't get mine to stand up straight for the life of me, and it doesn't come out either. So my Toothless leans. :) |
Squirt and Float Dragons - Toothless
DreamWorks How to Train Your Dragon 2 My Busy Book - Mini Toothless
French Feves - Mini Toothless
Series: How to Train Your Dragon Purchased : Etsy Manufacturer : Feves ???? (2010) Miniature ceramic/porcelain figurines that are baked into cakes. If you get the figure in your cake, you are King for a day! See my journal entry on the history of these figures here. |
